Micro-Story...

As time begins to fade, I take the battlefield for the last time.  I now stand only inches from enemy lines as I watch my fellow soldiers take their positions.  With anxiety beating in my heart, I decide to begin this battle.  I check my first read, then my second; then I dodge one, two, three bullets.  I catch a glimpse of an opening and decide to take it.  I throw the ball with all my might, hoping it will come down with a victory.  The projectile approaches its target and ... Touchdown!

John 1:1-5

 The Word was first,
      the Word present to God,
      God present to the Word.
   The Word was God,
      in readiness for God from day one.
 Everything was created through him;
      nothing—not one thing!—
      came into being without him.
   What came into existence was Life,
      and the Life was Light to live by.
